Diana Princess of Wales

What was the difference in the death of Princess Diana and Mother Teresa?

I believe people got it wrong there were many more people mourning for the Princess than Mother Teresa. It was based on fame and apperances rather than accomplishments

  1. You've got something there. That's a point well taken.
  2. The death of Lady Diana was sudden and traumatic and still has an air of mystery to the way she died much too young. The world was in shock. Mother Theresa had lived a good long life and was ill with the expectation of imminent death near the end. She will never be forgotton for her unselfish life of good works.
  3. Princess Diana didn't help in the deaths of thousands of people in Africa by preaching against the use of birth control and condoms in the worst HIV-inflicted area on the planet. Princess Diana also didn't receive a Nobel Prize only to call abortion the biggest crisis facing the planet. So to answer your question. Princess Diana wasn't an ignorant religious bigot. She was just a bit of a ditsy cow.
  4. Princess Diana was nothing until she married into the royal family. Mother Theresa dedicated her life to helping others. Diana was trolling for riches.
  5. Maybe, but it was also that she left two young boys without a mother.
  6. Good for you. You hit the nail right on thet head. Mother teresa is a Saint Its nnot important to shine in mans eyes only Gods
  7. Diana was out bar hopping with her lover if she hadn't been out with a couple of drunks(drunk drivers kill people 24 hrs a day all over the world.)she would still be alive. Mother Teresa won the Nobel Peace prize for her work for the poor and dying. The press went after Diana like vultures after her death . People seem to gobble up scandal more than any thing.
  8. You can't beat Donya's answer.
  9. We still don't know what happened to Princess Diana, and why Mother Teresa was telling people not to use condoms.
  10. None, they're both dead. I'm betting those who mourned Mother Teresa didn't get the press Princess Diana's mourners did. I sure didn't see Mother Teresa's face splattered all over books, T-shirts, underware, notebooks, plates, glasses, gym clothes, purses, jackets, candles.............you get the picture. Elton John even did his part by rewriting his dead blond song for his "dear friend". pft!
  11. In our world, money and status makes you a SOMEBODY. Diana had both. Teresa was poor and helped poor people. She had no money or status.
  12. I think its very unfair to compare these two ladies. They had nothing in common in life, and now they are both dead. I don't see why people should mourn any less for one than the other, they were both remarkable and sadly missed. I'm remembering my best friend today - she died just one year ago. Should I mourn less for her, an unknown person, than for Mother Theresa ? Of course not. Lets not compare and judge after a person had died. Its a very uncharitable thing to do.
  13. Faith
  14. if the good looking woman from the big house down the street was smuggling blokes in every week would you call her a saint
