the tomb of Lady Diana Spencer?
Is there someone who know if it's possible to reach the tomb of Lady D. and how is possible to reach it from london?
Public Comments
- it is only open to the public in August as far as I know, and the tomb is on an island in the middle of a lake so you cannot get too close to it. Tickets only and sell out in advance. Alstrop house, search the net.
- Its on a island at her family home, so better take a wet suit and a bullet proof vest
- Princess Diana was buried on a small island in the grounds of her family's home: Althorpe, (pronounced Altrup) in Northamptonshire, so you won't actually be able to see her grave. But many people visit the house and grounds, where you will find the award winning exhibition: 'Diana: A Celebration.' It's open every day from 11am until 5pm, 2nd July to 2nd Sept. The website below will give you further info regarding Althorp. By Car: Approx 1½-hour from London - leaving the M1 at Junction 16, Althorp is signposted. By Train: Althorp is located 7 miles from Northampton train station. Silverlink Trains run a regular service from London Euston to Northampton train station. Visit http://www.nationalrail.co.uk for more information. Taxis are available from outside the train station throughout the day. Buses to Althorp leave from the bus stop just outside the train station from Monday to Friday during their opening season; at 11.35am and 2.40pm. Buses returning to the station leave from Althorp at 2.20pm and 5.25pm. For further details about this service please call First Bus on 01604 751431.
- Althorp is located about an hour outside of London. It is the ancestral home of Diana, Princess of Wales. There are numerous exhibits about different times in Diana's life (childhood, marriage, charity... I also think there is a tour bus from London that will take to Althorp Tina
