Please can anyone tell me if there is any value in a 1981 prince of wales and lady diana spencer silver coin?

1. At a minimum the weight of the silver has value. I would bet a collector or reputable dealer can give you an exact answer.
2. about £10 You would have to establish whether it is a legal crown (25pence) or a non-legal commemorative coin, although this would probably not effect its value as long as the quality of the silver is identical. Is it definitely silver? There were many more of these coins minted in cupro-nickel. I am assuming the silver is pure although I susspect it is not 100% pure silver. The coin weighs about an ounce, and with silver worth US$17.7 per ounce that would make the coin's intrinsic value £8.85. I expect a dealer would give you about £5-6 so don't get excited!
