  1. Well she is the only one I have heard good things about
  2. Alexander the great.
  3. I reckon she is .... Were u on the titanic?
  4. she was for sure a popular woman..she did allot for allot of people
  5. I personally didn't think much of her. I don't think I have a favourite. What about Queen Victoria she ruled for a damn long time even if she was a gloomy old prude?
  6. Nope, it was Queen Victoria. I have no favorite royal. They are all parasitic entities and part of a repressive system. The whole idea of a superior class is repulsive to my way of thinking.
  7. Each generation has one that is considered above the others. Queen Alexandra for example. with everything she put up with made her a peoples favorite. Diana was made by the media who turned on her just before she died. She only became what she is considered now after she died. The most beloved royal I can think of was King Christian, who stayed put while his politicians ran to England during WWII. The people loved him for it
  8. My favourite royal is "Crawford's Royal Tartan Shortbread"
  9. No, I don't think Diana was the most beloved royal ever. I think it would be Edward VII, for the way that people loved the way he mixed with all types of people, and was such a nice change from the strictures and dreary dullness of the Victorian reign....or perhaps George VI for the way he assumed the role of King at such a difficult time and worked so hard for his country....or the current Queen who is beloved by the entire world for her consistent regal, dignified, and ladylike behavior.
  10. She was not the most beloved royal ever. Princess Charlotte, daughter of the Prince Regent (afterwards George IV), died in 1817, and her death provoked outpourings of public grief that make the mourning for Diana look like nothing at all by comparison.
  11. Absolutely not dear boy! The Spencer woman was nothing more than a flibberty gibbet, quite ill-equipped mentally to cope with her exalted position. The most beloved Royal ever must be our wonderfully fragrant Queen Mother, 109 years old and still going strong. Such an example to us all. I SALUTE YOU MA'AM!
  12. In a way yes, but only in our our time. There has been many loved royals throughout history. My personal favourite royal family was in the 14th century, when King Edward III was on the throne.
  13. No, but she probably was one of the top in our time. There are, and have been many royals in history. Many have been loved. Think of Catherine of Aragon, much loved and supported by the English, especially in her divorce proceedings. King Christian of Denmark was highly loved and respected. Personally, I have a great feeling for King Juan Carlos of Spain. Pretty cool dude. Check him out.
  14. She and the Queen Mother were the most beloved of the royals.
  15. Perhaps. Royalty has existed in Britain for over a thousand years so while many of those that came before her may have been greatly loved they weren't as well known since then there were no televisions, magazines, radio etc. However, many before her have been loved. I always smirk when I hear someone say with absolute conviction that the grief showed at her death was unprecedented because it simply wasn't. Alfred the Great, Edward IV, the eldest sons of James I and Henry I, the daughter of George IV, and many Queen consorts were all just as fervently loved and mourned.
  16. I admire Queens Elizabeth 2 and Victoria far more than Lady Diana. They both are/were ladies of high moral standing and devotion to country. Lady Diana was lacking on both counts.
  17. Diana Spencer (my 9th cousin) was not quite up to carrying off the Princess of Wales task she took on. Too modern, too much of a celebrity, too little sense of real duty to her new family. Very sad story. Queen Elizabeth II has been a model of stability, and dignity. God save the Queen.
  18. Diana was a moron. Princess Anne is the best man that those pathetic Windsors have.
