I've seen several TV biography movies over the years about Princess Diana. yet I've never heard of a big-screen movie about her other than "The Queen" about her death and the aftermath. Do you think a big-screen movie will ever be made about Princess Diana's life, or have you heard of one in the works?
Why haven't people gotten over the death of Princess Diana? Its been, what, ten years now? Seriously, why won't people move on? Sure, she was a great person. So was Martin Luther King, Steve Irwin, Sam Walton, Anwar Sadat, etc. etc. but we have all managed to get over their deaths, or at least most of us. I walked into the book store and I must have seen 50 biographies on Diana. Then she was on the news a few weeks ago and there is some TV show being aired about her. Why can't people move on?

Recommendations for biographies? I was thinking about reading some biographies, but was wondering if any of you read some great ones that you would like to recommend. I was thinking about reading about Princess Diana or Audrey Hepburn, but I'm also open for suggestions about historic people like Marie Antoinette (I love all those people in European history, so those suggestions would be great) or people like Cleopatra or Helen of Troy. So, if you have any suggestions for those I have listen above, or any others you liked, please recommend them!
What do you think of the allegations in the new book about Tom Cruise? There is a new book that's coming out in about a week - an unauthorized biography about Tom Cruise by the same author that wrote about Princess Diana. The book is making some crazy claims... "Claims that Tom Cruise is the second-in-command of the Church of Scientology and that some scientologists believe his daughter Suri is the product of a sperm donation from Scientology's late founder L. Ron Hubbard are among the explosive charges author Andrew Morton alleges in his new book, "Tom Cruise, An Unauthorized Biography," London's Daily Mail reported Sunday." Here's the links... what do you think? http://www.dailymail.co.uk/pages/live/articles/showbiz/showbiznews.html?in_article_id=506359&in_page_id=1773&in_page_id=1773&ct=5&expand=true#StartComments http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,320519,00.html

Who was the most influential person in the last thousand years? In the year 2000, the biography channel did a special highlighting who their experts considered the most influential people in the last thousand years. I thought they did a good job on the top 5--though I disagreed with # 1 and wasn't too happy to see Princess Diana on the list, much less ahead of Jonas Salk. Who is your pick for the number one most influential person in the last thousand years? Yes unfortuanate phrasing on my part: A person who lived within the last thousand years. NC: You chose Biography's #1 in Johannes Gutenberg. I understand the arguments for him. I was holding out for Biography's # 2 person. Here's a link to Life Magazine's list: http://www.tostepharmd.net/hissoc/top100people.html I don't see Biography's list on their site: I've already named #1. #2: Newton, #3: Luther, #4: Darwin, #5 : Shakespeare

What REALLY makes a great woman? Not just in a professional sense, or as just a mother or a wife, sister or a daughter. But what qualities do great women possess. Keep in mind that this could be someone who has been recognized by millions of people, or just someone you know. For example, I read alot of biographies and autobiographies. [its ALL i real really, haha] and one common characteristic that all successful people have [not just women] is that they have a way, usually by being completely relaxed and confident, of controlling others feelings. Not manipulation. But just looking at them and being around them, you feel how THEY want you to feel. [Jackie Kennedy Onassis, Michelle Obama, Gandhi, MLK Jr., and Princess Diana all possess[ed] this quality.] What is your opinion? by controlling, i meant they were able to persuade or inspire people to feel a certain way. and they knew how to do that. i think some people just have that talent and others dont.
princess diana? does anyone know a site that has the complete biography of princess diana, including her life, marriage, achievements etc...it has to be a good one!
